BT - Drivoblogs are always entertaining. Thnx for sharing.

But the captions this time around, arent anywhere close to ur usual "witty Quotient".

Thats nice travelogue, have a nice time and share more experience, I am back from 2000km and 3 weeks visit to native place trip. Safari had some trouble, but we never got struck anywhere which saved us from any disappointment, We were excited for comfort our vehicle offered.

Regards,

Ravi.

Kolkata - Guwahati Route Query

Dear BHPians, I've come to Kolkata to collect the ISUZU D-Max Crew Cab and currently holed up in a hotel in Chinar Park, near the Airport. I plan to drive it from Kolkata (Chinar Park) to Guwahati after the temporary registration procedure is done possibly around 21st or 22nd October. The route plan is thus:
  • Chinar Park to Malda via SH7 and then NH12 (361kms)
  • Malda to Alipurduar via NH27 (342kms)
  • Alipurduar to Guwahati via NH27 (306kms)

About the first trip, I'm thinking whether it would be better to drive all the way till Siliguri instead. Please advise on best possible route dear BHPians. And also an update on the road conditions would be good. Thank you

Hi wadewilson, please pm your phone number and we can meet in the evening as I stay nearby. Last week I came back from Assam (Bhutan-Assam border) by road. You can easily make it to Siliguri on day 1 via SH7 and then through the botolbari route after crossing Raigunj. Google shows the same route. However you should avoid the botolbari route after sunset.

Dear BlackPearl, I've PMed you my number. By the way, any reason to avoid the Botolbari route after sunset? Hope there's no unpleasant surprises over there. It's going to be my first time driving inter state 😅
