I will continue torturing you and regaling the rest with the photographs. Speaking of which, here are two :

Eye to eye with Shahrukh in Pench:

Eye to eye with "Shahrukh" in Pench from the present litter of Collarwali. I experienced Déjà vu at Pench yesterday (1 may 2011) when I chanced upon the entire family of 6 tigers in Pench and saw them crossing the road right in front of my Gypsy.

With this sighting, I confirmed that there are 4 female and 1 male cubs in this litter - A great news for Pench indeed.
I had a very similar sighting way back in 2008 at Pench when the 4 cubs of the last litter of the same tigress crossed in a similar fashion.

This guy is growing into a fine Tiger.

Defiance:

A drama of sorts unfolded before our eyes today morning when 2 jackals injured a deer fawn only few days old and tried to kill it. They had to face a very resilient mother who fought with them for over 2 hours. In the end though, the jackals had their say.

I just got an update from Gurpreet that he had a sighting of one male cub of Baghin nala Tigress in his second drive this evening. Waiting to hear from him about the details.

In the meanwhile, the story of my superb sighting of the entire family continues in photographs....

Eye to eye with Tigress escorting one of her cubs


She looks beautiful, healthy, super confident and relaxed. Probably the 5 babies are not troubling her much !!

Continuing with the tragic drama, Jackals bringing down the fawn


With one Jackal distracting the mother, the other succeeded in bringing down the fawn. But this was just the start of the encounter!!

Got a full day in the hospital tomorrow starting at 8am and here I am still glued to my desktop processing the latest pics.

When I saw them , they had definitely not feasted for half day and were in a mood to kill, but you cannot generalise that they were going in for the hunt.

Infact whenever I have seen tigers enmass (mother with cubs) , I have seen the cubs to be in a similar formation around the mother.

Speaking of this sighting, after the entire family crossed the road, the cubs playfully chased a few deers.

I dont think they were as her ears are not on the listenng mode and she is not concentrating on anything in front. Her entire body language would have been different if she was stalking or looking for a kill.

This is absolutely a leisure walk maybe to find water to relax in it!

We had a great time in pench .

I saw collarwali tigress with her 5 cubs and also baghinala tigress male cub .

Babloo was able to spot the baghinala cub , he is a great spotter must say .

But i was not able to capture the snap of baghinala's cub .
