Esteem VXI - Alloys/Tyre Sizes. - Hlp Pls

Hi:

I am going in for a new Esteem VXI. I would like to hear some expert advices on the best Alloy/Tyre Sizes.

a. I am not going to use for racing.
b. I need something that would look excellent.
c. Should not be a problem when 5 people occupy the car.
d. May be a minimal mileage loss is fine.
e. Need perfect grips while braking.

I want to make it a perfect executive car with an HIP Look.

Can some one suggest the Tyre Make and Can I go in for Aura with Michellin?

Your suggestions would be most welcome.

Rds,

Mike.

The new esteem is now coming with decent size rubber 175/70-13....
My suggestion:
175/70-13 Potenza GIIIs with aura 5J rims...

I also have an esteem VXI. Searched a lot about the alloy wheels and right upgrade for my wheels. I was confused that whether i sud stick to current rim size 13 inch and broaden my tyres a bit or to upgrade to 14 inch
My stock rims and tyre are 175/70 R 13. I am thinking of follwing two options as the overall diameter are almost same in both these case
1.) 13x5.5 rims with 185/65 R 13 tyres
2.) 14x6 rims with 185/60 R 14 tyres

Also can somebody help me out in deciding the correct offset. I have seen aura provides rims with 38 and 40 as offset. Which one sud i choose

Kindly help me out in deciding the best configuration as i need slightly wider tyres as compared to my stock tyres

I would suggest u to stick with same stock n just get decent set of rubbers n good set of 5J rims....u will have improved grip n will enjoy the good ride quality...also u will get the mighty maruti FE

Perfect upsize but U wont feel much difference from the stock...
Not sure if this size will not touch anywhere....

2.) 14x6 rims with 185/60 R 14 tyres
Good upsize if u are a highway blaster....
Good handling at the cost of poor ride...n go for 5.5J rims..

Dont think it will cause much difference....38 & 40 hardly any difference...
Effects of offset
It determines how the suspension and self-centring steering behave. The most obvious problem that will occur if you get it wrong is that the steering will either become so heavy that you can't turn the car, or so light that you need to spend all your time keeping the bugger in a straight line.
