Upgraded to 16" on the civic with 3STs.
Lenso Raiden Project D spec F
205-55-16

Momo 15 inch on my new City.

Hi all,
Finally I am part of this awesome motor head community,
I need a little help! I have booked a pearl white ciaz vdi plus model here in Pune and expecting delivery in 2 to 3 days, I wish to upgrade my stock tyres and rims to a set of good 16inch alloys and 195 profile tyres! But I am not sure as to how it will effect the ride quality and fuel economy since I will be using the car mostly in city traffic. Also can you guys please suggest a good store in Pune for alloys. Thanks :)

Hi Ashwin,
First of all, heartiest congratulations to you for becoming a part of Team Bhp community and for your new machine. clap:
Coming to your query, if you are looking at 16" alloy wheels then why don't you go with 205/55 profile? Ride quality and grip will be better due to fatter tyres but you can expect a marginal drop in fuel efficiency.
As for a good store, check out Car Cupid (Pashan or Pimple Saudagar).

The alloys indeed looks good. But IMHO you should have opted for the 16 inch and fatter tires to complement the car better. But finally its your choice and enjoy the drive.

Please choose 16inch alloy with tire profile of 205/55/16, that is what I have been running on my Ciaz for the past 3 weeks and I love the drive comfort, looks and has no effect on fuel efficiency. Mind it, to pick up low weight alloy which will help in over all performance.
I have finalized on one particular model of HRS alloys. The model number is H519. Unfortunately the model is not available in Bangalore from the shops where I had inquired.
Sai Mag wheels have this particular alloys at their store. Unfortunately those guys aren't responding to my mail at all.
My main doubt is whether this particular alloy will be compatible for my Skoda Rapid 15 inch wheels. Why I am asking this is because, I heard one plati dealer saying that many alloys don't fit in Rapid. There need to be a plate (or whatever additional thing) to be fit along with the alloys in the car.
Can someone confirm the above? Is it really true? Also can someone suggest me which dealer in Bangalore stock a good collection of HRS alloys. I have checked with hot tracks. They do not have this model.

Thank you. I got it from saifee tyres from santacruz, mumbai.
I spent 27 k on it.
Saw this car all decked up in Popular, Kottayam. Loved the alloy wheels. The rest was pretty absurd with huge chunks of chrome on the door handle & ORVM, NOT so great black skirts all round and a decal on the sides.
These 14" alloys are MGA accessories, comes in silver and is painted by the A$$. Costs 22K for a set of 4 including painting and a life time warranty on the paint. :D The tyres are 205 profile Bridgestone Potenza GIII.
Edit:: Post could be moved to "Show your alloy wheels" thread please. Slipped it while posting that this is a "Tastefully modified" car section. And my second line is contradicting the placement. stupid:
Few more pics:
Car: SX4 Vxi
Rims: 15" chrome Pilati 5 spoke.
Tyres: Michelin Primacy 3ST - 195/65 R15.

Sai Mag wheels seems to be costlier than rest all. Is the HRS alloys really great? I think they provide lifetime warranty on the alloys they sell.
