Hey Thanks :)
Car has done 1,52,000 kms to date .
Have spent a lot in order to keep it in top shape. I could have bought another car for the money spent :deadhorse
Since this is my first car I am emotionally attached to it. Have done some modifications as well. Though it is expensive to maintain (only if parts have to be replaced) I still love it every time I drive it. Not many cars manufactured currently come close to it in terms of Driving Pleasure!
Skoda Laura with Borbet XL and 225/45R17 Pirelli P1 Cinturato.

Yes it must have involved a lot of time and money for sure. The Ikon does not ask for much maintenance, but when it does, it's a rip off. Even I have experience that in my previously owned Ford Ikon 1.4 TDCi. Even my beast remains very close to my heart; unfortunately had to part ways with it last year stupid:
But yes no car in the segment can come even close to the Josh Machine for Sure !!
Stunning set if wheels ! I'm sure the car would look more awesome in real.
What deal did you get ? More importantly, do they do the same wheels for Altis (5 holes 100 PCD, I'm looking for 17") ?
Have been searching on net but couldnt find anyone dealing in Borbet wheels. Would appreciate if anyone could advise where I can find decent wheels for Altis (same specifications as mentioned above).

Contact Pete's, they should be able to get these alloys for you. You can also check with Hot Track.
Cheers

these are bought from petes. cost around 18000per wheel. The pcd for laura is 5x112. So it wont fit altis.
you can check
www.petes.in
They have pictures of all borbet models
16" 10 spoke alloy running Pirelli P1 205/55 R16 tyres. Running this setup for the last 2 years.
Ok. Thanks for responding and letting me know. 18k per wheel and nearly 12k per tyre would make it quite expensive. Lets see how it works out for me.
My car is 4 years + old and I thought I would upgrade the wheels to keep interest for another 4 years :p but dont wanna spend too much.
Would also appreciate buddy if you could post more pics. I'm sure there are others who would appreciate your efforts after seeing more pics of the beauty. I think wouldn't have minded spending on a Laura (thats one of my favs and that too in black, wanted to upgrade to one but family was strictly against).
Also any side effects of upgrading to 17" (other than ofcourse cost, Lol)

I am running this setup for last 10000kms. No issues so far.
Only thing is, you have to be carefull while going through pothole ridden roads because of 45 profile side walls. My friend is using michelin tyres with 50 profile for slighly better comfort(225/50/17).
But i prefer pirelli over michelin because traction control kicks in more frequently in michelin tyres, especially during wet and dusty roads.

Wow !!! So you've gotta a vRS. Beautiful machine, your car made me a little nostalgic and "fall in love with the Laura" again ! I so wished to own a vRS but was never really in a position to buy. Loved the subtle styling tweaks over regular Laura. And I always admired the color options in the vRS.
Guys need your help !
I want to upsize the Alloys on my New Skoda Octavia, the Stock ones as you all know are 16"s. Could someone please help me out :
1. If I want to upsize to 17" Rims what should be the Tyre size for the same?
2. If I want to upsize to 18" Rims what should be the Tyre size for the same?
Could someone also suggest a good brand for the TYRES? And also a store in Pune where I can get Oz/ TSW/ Borbet Alloys ! please:
Thanks in advance
Cheers,
Artem
