World's first Production 30" Wheels & Tires

Well for all you brothers out there who think that 28" is just too common for your "Escalades"' & "Hummers" here's the ultimate accessory!!!

Pirelli and TIS Wheels introduce the world's first full production 30" wheel and tire at the New York International Auto Show!

[/COLOR]

Guy Mannino, president of Pirelli Tire North America and Myles Kovacs, president of Twenty Inches Strong Wheels were on hand on April 14th for the much anticipated unveiling of the world's first and only production 30 inch wheel and tire combo.
Pirelli's new 315/30R30 Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico beats every other tire maker to the punch to supply this exclusive tire in full production for the light truck/SUV range with this particular tire being the most sought after tire fitment for the Hummer H2 and features an exclusive "Double Z" tread design for maximum traction in any condition
TIS wheels, the trendsetter in aftermarket custom wheels, accompanies Pirelli with the introduction of a finely crafted and distinctive 8-spoke, 3-piece wheel which is the first in the company's new "Thirty Inches Strong" line. As with all TIS brand wheels, these monstrous thirties feature Phat Lip™ technology, which allows for the deepest lip wheels on the road today. The first set of these monumental wheels and tires have been sold to MTV's Bam Margera from "Viva La Bam" - valued at just under $150,000!

$ 150,000 - for a set of wheels & tires which also feature something called "PHAT LIPS" God what is the world coming to!!

Jesal 40 inchers don't exist and that is a very old photo and it has been on many forums where the consesnsus has always been that it's only a Photoshopped image.

Just think if any company had manufactured 40" wheels don't you think they would publicise it in order to sell it to the bling crowd for about US$ 250,000 a set!

Well maybe they do exist as non-production wheels. These ones that we are talking about will be regularly producded , hence the difference. I've always liked bigger and bigger wheels but that picture with the black car is simply ugly and fits rather badly with the overall look of the car. But the Hummer above looks and feels good and im sure is drivable to some extent at least. Wonder how tough the suspension must have been made. I'm sure you'll feel every spec of dirt on the road too......

i said i thought so wasnt sure at all about it. i like the hummer more than the lexus for sure. we in india are still stuck with max of 16 stock. and if 40 inches comes ever at a price of $250000 then id just get a nice supercar with stock 18 to 19 inches. lol ok i have lost it. loved the hummer though really

Wheels look like a really oversized version of the now pretty endangered rickshaws we used to get in Hyderabad till a while back!
And as comical as those 'tweels' (did I get the name right?) that Michelin has come out with!

Godspeed.

Alok.
