i have booked the Alto 800.
i would like to know the best upgrade in 13 inch tires.
also need to know the PCD and offset since i plan to get alloys along with tire upgrade!

the OEM tire specs are 145/80/R 12

165/60r13 with 5J rims will be the best fit. You can use 5.5J if 5 J isn't available.

btw,looks like michelin XM2 tires dont come in that config.
what are my other options in brands?

would 165/65 R13 work?

also any pointers towards PCD ?

for that matter any tire would work. 165/60R 13 or155/65r13 are the right up sizes keeping overall diameter (OD) in mind.

PCD for Alto 800 is 100

Have another doubt,will upgrading from 12 inch to 13 inch tires require any additional changes to suspension?

I asked cause my local tire dealer told me that the 13 inchers would scrap the underside!!

Folks

My friend owns an Alto 800 wishes to change his tyre. The stock size is 145/80 R12. I have suggested the following upgrades as seen in the images below. I have suggested the upgrades highlighted in green color.
The choice narrows down to 155/70 R12 or 155/65 R13. I guess the latter will be recommended.
Even if I suggest 155/70 R12, does it require rim change ie change in rim width ??
