French tyre manufacturer - Michelin, has launched their premium range of SUV tyres in India, Latitude Sport 3.

The Latitude Sport 3 (LS3) is the third generation of the Latitude series road tyres. These claim to stop 2.7 meters shorter on wet roads, 4% better braking in the dry and 25% lesser rolling resistance when compared to the previous generation Latitude Sport tyres.




Interestingly, these tyres will come as a part of standard fitment on the Porsche Macan and the BMW X5, among others. The tyre will be offered in 4 sizes:


The LS3 tyres will be made available across the country at Michelin dealerships, priority partners and the Tyre Plus network.

Now, it is available in 235/65R17 size too. Yesterday, my XUV 500 got 4 of these tyres, costing ₹ 59,895 including wheel balancing and wheel alignment plus taxes. The details are here.

Incredibly impressive and this was sorely missed from our market- I hope to swap mine on my XUV after another 20,000 kms.
