Wagon -R

Hi,

I am looking forward to replacing the tyres on my Wagon -R .

If anybody has any suggestions on the make , size kindly oblige me .

Currently using JK ultima that came OE but also thinking about MRF and Apolla .

People using any brand other than JK are requested to give details about tyre life, tyre noise and reliability.

Abhi, i'm using Potenza GIII 175/60/13 on my santro ... its more grippy than a possesive girlfriend, tad noisy at lower speeds. But extremely reliable i've had one puncture in 2 years.

Our fellow member hellspawn just bought Michilin ENergy XM1 tyres for his zen, these are cheaper than GIII's but have superb comfort levels. The places where my santro would go THUG THUG the zen with michillins just flew

Potenza GIII 175/60/13 Rs 2800 per tyre. Tubeless
Energy XM1 155/??/13 Rs 2300 per tyre. Tubeless

Get yourself Yokohama's.
Ive got them on mine. They are real nice and very compfortable. I run on pretty low profile ones even so I don have any hassles. Do make sure you get yourself the tubless ones. Our roads here defintely need these ones.

With the sound on the tyres,Ive never heard any. The tyres are real difficult to go out of control. and the best is when its raining. no problems what so ever. Am very happy with the Tyres.

So my recommendation would be The YOKOHAMA's

Cheers

I've recently put 175/60/R13 Yokohama A539 tyres on a wagon R....Excellent grip, noiseless and a dream to drive on. Besides they really do wonders for that muscular new front grill.Putting up a few pics for your reference :-) click thumbnails to enlarge !!

Hi WasavaTyres,

Is that one you posted is unidirectional tyres or bidirectional ( No directional tyres ). If that one is unidirectional how are you managing your standby. Because I am also looking to change the tyres and also trying to take some new alloys for my WagonR(VXI).

How much the alloy costs for you ?
Last week I went for enquiry and the dealer is asking 15500 INR for 5 neo alloys.

Your further post will be really helpful to decide on cost factor.

Hi Guys,

I know this is an really really old thread but didn't find a better place to post my query.
Need to change a tyre from our office Wagon R, currently this car is running on MRF ZVTS, stock. Left rear was totally shattered (Driven flat i guess). The dealer here quoted 2200 for 1 tyre with BW. Is that the correct price?

Thanks,
Anshu

I have a 2000 Wagon R LX, i had recently got my fuel tank filled with a Formula 44 and i think it has improved the fuel efficiency a bit.
