Thanks for the quick response.

I had seen the ES100, I do not remember the exact price, but for a set of 4 tubeless and Aura 13-inch alloys, he asked to be ready with about 30 to 32k. (20k for alloys and 12k for tyres i guess or vice-versa, not sure). What do you think - is that too high?

I am looking at upsize to 165/65 R13.

What????? 13" alloys for 20k is way too expensive. Aura I think would not be priced at more than 3k per piece for a 13" alloy (could be less too). Also the tyres are very expensive too 165/65 R13 in Michelin would cost around 2400 per piece.

So IMO 4 Aura Alloys & 4 tyres should not cost you more than 22-23k. (9.5-10k for tyres & 12-13k for alloys) Please check with other dealers in your town or better still ask some senior members from your city to help you out with the purchase.

exactly,ES100 starts from 185/60/R14 upwards so it's pretty obvious he's quoted you on an upsize.

For the OHC alloys, we had special weights tha were designed to fit into the rim. Regular steel rim weight clips aren't wide enuf.

On my car, i've been using sticker weights and they've held on pretty well.

Car manufacturers usually use Clip-on type of wheel weights instead of sticker weights.Durability issues I guess.

Going up three sizes on the stock rim! I don't think your rim will have the necessary width, but can you post which car you're talking about here.

What is the rim width? What width tyres you can mount on a wheel depends on its width, not the height.
