Alloys for Aveo ??

Hello,

I'm planning a Aveo but find its tyres a tiny.
So I'm planning new Alloys for the same. Please let me know what size would be the best for Aveo.

n As we know handling of Aveo is not the greatest. would buying alloys will aid in the same?

Thanks.

Alloys alone wont improve the handling... However, you could put bigger alloys plus thicker rubber to improve the grip around corners...

Also, upsize would help decrease the small-wheel look of the Aveo...

Ok here u go all the upsizes for Aveo...!

14"
195/55-14
205/55-14

15"
195/50-15
205/50-15

16"
195/45-16
205/40-16

17"
205/35-17

Don't get excited by all the upsizes...

My suggestion would be to stick with any of 14" upsize

the aveo has a good suspension setup and to improve the undertyred look,i think the 195/50R15 would suit the car the best.
whats the stock size for the aveo.

Thanks kpzen, hellspawn and crazy driver for guiding me.

As mentioned by kpzen, stock size of aveo is 185/65-15.. just wanted to know the effect of upgrading to 195/50-R15 on:
1) Fuel Efficiency
2) Grip, Ride n Handling. (I drive mostly in city)
3) Undertyre look.

With 195/50-15 the grip & handling will definitely improve but the ride will come down a little but not much as Aveo has a very good suspension...
Fuel efficiency won't go down much a max of 1kmpl drop...

Anyways what tyres are u looking for??

Thanks kpzen.

I dont have much idea about brands as of now, was just searching the team-bhp. I think heavy alloys (5-6 spoke) shall suit Aveo. What do you suggest?

1kmpl drop out of 12kmpl is not less.

I would suggest you to upgrade after some time. after your first service which should give you fair idea and change to explore and upgrade options. effect on mileage would be 1 to 1.5 KMPL.

@kpzen:i dont think michelin energy xm1come in 195/60r15.

@dcetech:its best to get your rims and tyres changed at this point as they are new and you will get the maximum exchange value for them right now.aftre your first service they would have done close to 1000kms and the tyre dealers will give you less for the tyres.
better to get them changed within 200kms of buying the car
