All Yokohama tyres, with the exception of the A0xx series, are for daily use.

Contacted the Yokohama India customer care at the given email address, inquiring about price and availability of certailn tyres. Their response was prompt, and said that they hoped to have things in place by end-July in Delhi. I guess India will have to wait a little longer for the official stuff.

AFAIK, they do not come under the Advan range, to begin with. What size do you want?

Well, the Neova's are OE on the Lotus Elise, and are recommended upgrade tires for M3, Porsche 911, 993, 996, Subaru Imprezza. So I guess they must be more grippier.

The Advan sports are used on Bentley Continental GT, Flying Spur, Porsche 997 Carrera 4 as OE.

Besides, the point its wonderful to know that these tires might be off the shelf in India.

Yup, Yokohama is right now negotiating hard for OE fitments with various manufacturers! Let's hope their quality doesn't go the Bridgestone/Goodyear way.

I doubt it. As they enter the market themselves their prices are bound to increase compared to those of the grey market importer.

Thats okay, Ishan, I can still wait for the Michelin dealerships. I am sure you are going to land that one.

This is great news. A lot now depends on Yoko's will for India over the long run.

I have taken a liking for Yoko's in the recent pass, and this is surely a welcome move. There are too many people who are disappointed with Bridgestone and Goodyear; Yokohama ought to cash in on them.

Buttttttttttttttttttttt with no budget contraints, Michelin is still my no.1. Superb tyres by a remarkable tyre company.

That's because you haven't driven Advan Neovas. They're a real conversion factor.

I doubt that the bad part is just the price hike, it could also be bad or outdated quality of tyres that bridgestone supplies as OE. If they are going to supply OE & want to maintain their brand image, they should stick to international quality tyres that we now get in the grey.
