Just switched from stock bridgestone potenza to mich pilot preceda 2. The ride and handling is just unbelievably good. There's hardly any road noise either. Everything is so dead silent. Plus the tyres are great to look at.

Ok boss, I'm missing something. The last-gen Accord, I thought that meant the pre-facelift one. I wasn't aware that the boring-looking one, which came with the 2.3 K23 engine also had a V6 version in India. I meant the pre-facelift one always had 16"s on the V6.

Now, did the old (6th gen) Accord come with a V6 in India?

No, it only ever came with one engine option, the 2.3L.

[quote=iraghava;543120]I would prefer the Pilot Primacy's over the Apollo's or Goodyear's. Also if you're looking at good grip your best bet would be the Michelin Pilot Preceda 2's, they are available in the size you're looking at.

thanks...will settle on the michelins. Even though it may cost a little more...i am convinced it will be well worth it.

Busa, please read the title of the thread carefully. There's a V6 mentioned after Accord. I assume that refers to the engine, which could well be a J series V6 normally found in Accords of different vintages.

Of course, there are people who put V6 stickers on anything, autos included.

C3PO this thread's title was Tyre Upgrade for Accord till someone started a new thread for tyres for the V6 and mods merged this thread. See Sahil's date of posting for tyres

Oh Jesus, why on earth would they merge these 2 threads?

Zappo, the 2 cars have different wheel and tyre sizes. PLEASE check before merging threads.

Tyre upgrade for Accord V6

Ohh Geez !! Now you have me thoroughly & thuroughly confused.

I was searching for an existing thread before posting a new query on which is the best tyre upgrade for a V6 Honda Accord 2005 on stock alloy wheels.

I appriciate medium moderation but since I wanted a speedy answer I didn't want to risk deletion,..hence posting here anyway.

The current set has done 57,000 kms quit nicely. This car is a colleagues and could certainly do with some sound advice form Ishan and the tyre gurus !

The primary purpose is to get better grip during hard acceleration and off course better aesthetics !
