hi
i will be getting a verna in a couple of days CRDi Sx ABS .
I went through all the posts & tyre bible also but to be honest i am totally confused , i saw a verna with 16" inch plati on a 205 rubber in the hyundai service centre & asked him about the footwear he said they are pretty good both for performance & handling ..
My question is can i put the same combination to my verna as i read a few posts it sounded i shouldnt. So needed some clear information what must be the right upsize for my verna . Budget (35-45k)
My requirements are :
1) Good handling .
2) Low tyre noise .
3) 70% driven on highways .
4) Comfort must be good .
5) Macho looking .
As i will start hunting for the alloys i need a right combination .:)
i would suggest you go in for 195/55 r15. perfect upsize for the vernas stock which is 185/65 r14.

Thats honestly asking for too much.
good handling and comfort:confused:
Macho looking and low tyre noise:confused:
I think you should stick to 14" or max 15".
195/60 R14 and 195/55 R15 are good options.
Tyre is a very compromise product:
If improve handling, comfort goes down.
If you have chunky tread pattern, grip goes up and also noise level goes up.
Guys went for yokohoma ES100 195/60/r15 with lenso alloys .

Hi Akshay-
Tyres- are bridgestone 185/65- please, tell me - will it be a good decision to spend 34k ( after 11K discount against the stock rims and tyres)for alloys with 195/55 yoko as advised by you earlier. I have time till Tuesday (13th) till they get the registration done and hence, need to decide fast.

195/60-14 would be a better option for Indian roads..Upsizing to 15" would ruin the nice ride quality Verna has.
Just get good set of tyres. Choose between Michelin or Yokohama..

the stock bridgestones will not be very good. get yoko s-drives. the handling of your verna will be much better after that.
