Used OE alloys for innova in Bangalore

Hi guys what should be the approx price for a second hand innova alloys that come in V- model. Also Kindly let me know if honda civic alloys suits the innova perfectly or otherwise? are there any draw backs if civic alloys are used in innova.

Urgent suggestion from Gurus required.

Rags - the Innova alloys if found should be priced around 10-15k as there is no fixed price for them.

As for Civic alloys yes, they fit perfectly & there should be no problems with them. However, the only drawback is that if you plan to fit 225-section tyres on the car then it is not recommended on those alloys.

Hi rags,

I am looking to buy Alloys in near future for my G3 Innova. When I checked in the market used OE Innova Alloys set of 5 would cost between 10,000 to 13,000 based on if they are almost brand new or used for few months.

Civic and Innova alloys come with same wiodth 6inch and pcd etc.. settings so they can be used. TBHP member santosh selling his civic alloys i have personally met him and checked the alloys they are in good condition. If you are interested go head and buy those alloys. i feel set of 5 is worth 13,000 since they are almost brand new.

I am planning to have 225/60 R15 tyre on my Innova so I am looking for 6.5 or 7 inch width alloys hence not decided fully to buy civic alloys for my Innova.

hi iraghava,

I need one help/clarification: If I buy Innova OE alloys can I fit 225 section tyres or you recommand 6.5 or 7 inch alloy for 225 tyre ? or is it just for civic OE alloys where 225 tyres not suitable. thank you in advance.

Regards,

Ravi.

Ravi - Not sure but IIRC the Innova alloys are 6.5J, so 225's on them are not an issue.

Based on what I read in Innova Mannual, RIM width is 6 inch so it appears Innova Stock Alloys come with 6.5 inch.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Regards,

Ravi.

Today I happen to see Stock Innova and Civic alloys. They quote 16,000/- set of 5. They look brand new.

I checked width and other details. Both are of 6 inch width. So technically speaking putting 225 tyre on Innova alloy will make we are in margin because 6 inch is ideal width for 225 tyre.

Onething I realized is innova alloys are heavy where civic one's are light. I have still time to decide so I am waiting to have my tyres complete another 4000km to get them replaced.

Regards,

Ravi.

Maybe one is a direct import from Jap and the other by an Indian firm.

You are absolutely right jkdas, Innova stock Alloys are made in india and Civic alloys should be from Japan import because in Showroom civic alloys cost very much compared to innova alloys.

Shop guy mentioned me for Innova its safe to use imported alloys of similar stock pattern.

Ravi.

Hi,

> Innova stock Alloys are made in india

They are made by Hyderabad based Snergy Dooray. This is one of the models that was shown in a newspaper ad.

They are OEM suppliers.

When I checked Innova's Black Wheel RIMs with Dealer they told me its 1900/- each Black RIM. No wonder why they charge more than 30,000/- for Innova stock 5 alloys.

Regards,

Ravi.
