re: Chevy Spark : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Gurus, Can we upsize from 155/70-R13 to 175/60-R13 77H Y-C drives(on5.5J's) on spark? Will it be an over kill?

175 will be over kill. Better option is 165/65/R13. You will get lot of tyre options. I know couple of guys who are happy with that size.

I checked 165/65-R13 in ChangeMyTyre but couldn't find any performance offering. I really really wish the world to be rewritten so that I could fit 175's on my Spark!

Have some good time here

Then i said i am not satisfied with the grip and noise levels of MRF ZVTS and he replied "sir MRF will last longer upto 50,000 KM"
I said thats gr8.

As i want to get 165/65 - R13 tyres,i am thinking about Michelin XM1 now.
What do you suggest?

Any other T-Bhpian has upgraded tyres for spark?
Err, this is an old thread, but adding info as I've upgraded to 175s.

I've upgraded to 175/60 R13 on my spark and I've been using it since 4 months. No issues like touching panels, rubbing tyres. Everything is fine. In fact, the ride is much smoother on concrete roads, but it hits a little hard when it climbs speed breakers. I've put them on 4.5Js so a little different steering feel is expected. But nothing major. I'd recommend alloy+tire upgrade.

EDIT: Braking has improoved a lot. Potenza GIII effect + wider section, may be!

re: Chevy Spark : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

What about 175/70/R13?? Michelin XM2 comes with that one

My stock apollo accelere has done 20800 km. Now want to change it . Want good braking and improved cornering at 70-80 kmph . Is it a good choice?? or should I stick to 165/65/R13 as it is tried and tested?? Also I'm planning to upgrade to alloys
