Guys... sorry if this is OT, but are the GIIIs really that bad?

I'm about to upsize my Ikon to 195/55 R15s and was considering the Eagle F1s and the GIIIs. Drove a friend's car with Eagle F1s after some of the gurus on this board warned me against them, and then realized what crappy tyres they were.

BUT I heard good things about the GIII on this board!!!

Am I making a mistake?

I've been quoted (after some serious negotiation) 3650 per GIII (set of 5).
If you guys think I shouldn't get the GIII, then what can I get in the same price range? My priorities are ride comfort, very low noise, and they should last at least 35k-30k km.

Use S.drives. They're ok tyres, but compared to GIIIs they are God's own gift.

GIII's are neither low road noise nor are they particularly comfortable.

I am going to buy the BF Goodrich Gforce sport for my Getz CRDi in a day or two. The cost for 195/60 R14 is Rs.3500.

Well , Here is a review about the BF Goodrich Gforce Sport Tires.

Mine : 195/60 R14 Costing Rs.3500 per tire.

Some views from my experience :
1. Good grip on high speeds
2. Good grip on tight Corners.
3. Tire noise is slightly on the higher side.
4. Comfort is sightly on the lower side .
5. Braking is good.

Overall in my humble opinion : VFM

Designed for handling, handles beautifully.
Higher on noise.
Lower on comfort.
Good grip levels.
