Wheel dilema for swift.

Ok guys, I am in a dilema. A friend of mine has just bought a brand new swift and he is pestering the living daylights out of me as he cant find a good set of rims for his car. Finally, we have shortlisted a few patterns.

Here they are.

Now, As his Swift is White, I told him that he had three color options. Black(with or without the chrome lip), White or Golden, the latter two being in the 5 spoke option.

The tires will not be changed. They will stay original. So what i need is the Spec of the OE wheel, What alloy brands can i get and also what they cost.

Dont advise me to go in for 16 inch wheels with Yoko S Drives as it isnt happening. (ishaan, that was for you!! )

Guys, please reply ASAP.

Cheers.

The second one looks better. The first one may look good in 16 or 17.

Sorry buddy, but there's no point really in getting 14" aftermarket wheels and keeping those JK tyres. Afterall, its the stock tyres that are truly horrible and should be replaced, the stock alloys aren't so bad.

Tell your friend to save his money, and then upgrade both the wheels and the tyres later.

Well, that is exactly what i told him. But he is adamant. He is one of those fellows who doesnt know jack about cars but still has alot of them. He just doesnt want to upgrade the tyres.

Could you tell me the price quoted for the second set. In my opinion they look much better than the first one. i always prefer matt finish to glossy ones. And how much a re you getting for the existing swift rims ?

Looks like everyone prefers matt finish, hence opt for second wheel.

@ Cyrus43:

Second wheel doesn't seem to be 14", it has 5 bolts.
For Swift, you will need 4x100 14" wheel, i.e. 4 bolts, PCD as 100 with 14" diameter.

Well, its the same here. I dunno a jack about car but getting in the groove since I joined this wonderful forum. I got my car on the 5th of this month. I rode it for say around 15kms on the stock tire which are JK tubeless as I got myself a Zxi. I changed the tires to Yoko Sdrive and man, the difference was felt immediately. For a person who has not driven at all like me if I can feel a difference then there is surely something in the wheels.

Please ask your friend and convince him to change the tires too. Btw the 2nd alloy looks sweet. G`luck

cheers:

You need 14" 100 PCD 4 bolt wheels Cyrus. They would be available in Lenso, HR, HiJoin, Prestige, Plati etc. etc. HR has recently got some nice white wheels that I saw at a dealer.

Go to a few tyre shops in Mumbai (Saifee, Premji's, some in Opera House) and see what is available there. The designs of Lenso posted above by you might not be available as Lenso doesn't have much wheels below 15".

Also, a member recently fitted white 14" Lenso's on his Palio, search around for his thread.

The second set would be my pick; would look hot on a white swift.
