Fully appreciate your update after your earlier update a couple of years ago!
That's the kind of feedback that helps!

I have Mich XM1+ for 2 years now and they have been kind to me. The FE had dropped a kmpl right after I bought mine. Ironically, with all the superior chemical treated rubber and silicone salestalk, it was supposed to increase. But so far the ride has been excellent and noise-free to a large extent.

I never found the C drives,so i had too had to choose XM1+ in 185\65\R14.
I am happy with the choice.

Re: Tyre Change for Accent

Hi Guys,

Got two questions and require some help:

1) Im looking to change my tyres on the viva deisel that i have, at the moment they have got tthe 175/70/R13's on them. What would you recomend?

I drive fast and a lot of highway driving. Should i go for alloys and if yes what size would you all recomend along with the tyre size and company.

2) We've got a Linea Deisel emotion pack, the tyres need to be changed:
found out below the prices from the dealer,
Michelin 195/60/15 @ Rs.6100/-
Michelin Xmi+ @ Rs.6000/-
Yoko @ Rs.4900/-
Brigdgestone@ Rs.5200/-

What do you all recomend, the linea is basically chaufer driven and used by my dad and mom, so im looking at comfort and a little increase in the gc.

Looking forward to an early response.

Thanks a ton.

Hi Akshay,

Know its an old thread and am not sure if you still use your Accent. But I needed an idea of how the upgrade affected the ride and handling / FE of your car? I am still running on stock tyres and rims and planning an upgrade soon.

I am getting FE of about 13kmpl in city (I am a light footed driver). Don't want it to go down considerably (petrol prices are hiked every other day )

Thanks in advance..

Why upsize? 175/70-13 tyres are available in all major companies. Stick to the OEM size. Upsizing for an Accent is not worth the extra money. More disadvantages than advantages.

Pls do post which tyres you finally chose and the feedback post change. I drive a Accent petrol too. Its due for a tyre change too.

OT- And how do you manage 13kmpl in the city? 10/11 is what I get in Delhi/ NCR at non peak hours. 13 would make me a happy man

Re: Tyre Change for Accent

Changed to XM1+ in 2009 and have had really good exp with it. Less noisy, good grip.

Mileage- get around 12 kmpl without a/c in Bangalore. Mine is a 1.6

Stuck to 175/70 R13
