O.E tyres on fabia

Can anyone throw some light on the stock Matador tyres that the Fabia comes shod with? Never heard of this company apart from the fact that its U.K based. Are they any good or do they warrant a change? IMO the dimensions seem adequate, but how do they perform for a "slightly spirited" driver?

IIRC, BSM went gaga about handling and tyre performance in the test drive. But, they might be comparing them with stock tyres on cars like Swift, and, the mags usually do have an inclination to praise a new car.

Heard that Fabias are going to roll out with Appollo tyres pretty soon. My 1.2 Ambienete is fitted with the Matador tyres. So far, so good
