It looks an ok deal as that is the average price, i got around 2.5 k for stock BMW X1 tyres which had done 15k km on exchange.

I exchanged my stock good year tyres on my Dzire to the Yokohoma A drives (185 R14). Paid 8.5k for the whole set of 5 tyres post exchange. Rs.500 for balancing and another 150 for nitrogen. Is that a good deal?

I'm planning to change stock tyres on my Palio Stile which has done 24K kms, but which is from Nov-2007. Extremely unhappy with the ride quality and road noise.

Stock tyres are 165/80/R13, but I guess I'll need to go with 185/70/R13 since the stock size is not available. How will this difference impact GC?

Most importantly, Yoko A-Drive or Michelin XM2?please:

My main priorities are lowest possible road noise & durability.

I see another 15k or so left on the tyre. Only gripe tyre noise at speed above 100 km/hr

I am about to change the tires of my Petra D shortly to Yoka A Drives. Currently the stock tires are 175/65-R14. I am also exploring the idea of upgrading the tire size for comfort and grip without compromising on performance and FE. What am looking for is less tyre noise, hard side wall, and a comfortable ride.

The tire upgrade sizes I have in mind are as follows:

185/60-R14 - (-)0.94% variation
185/65-R14 - 2.23% variation
195/60-R14 - 1.11% variation
205/55-R14 - (-) 0.34% variation

Which tire upgrade would best suit the stock tire size of 175/65-R14 on steel rims.

Last week I swapped my old A drives with new ones.

205/60/15

The old set lasted around 67K Km.
Car - Octavia TDi

Religiously rotated the tyres every 5k km along with WA-WB.

Respect to the A Drives!

Advantages:
1. Longer life
2. Good grip

In my case the tyres got a bit noisy (observed more on concrete roads, above speeds of 100Ks) after a period of around 6500km.

And yea. Yokohama have a special scheme going on. On the purchase of 4 A drives, you get a Jabra Bluetooth headset free.

I got 2 Jabras, since I upgrades tyres for the Octy as well as the Ritz. :)

Looks like they still have those headset stocked. When I changed my tyres during late 2011, they gave me the same thing.

The ones I got, have a manufacture date of Jan2013.

Today afternoon, I changed my old Yokohama ES100 to Yokohama A.drive

From a sporty tyre to a comfort tyre, have to see how this one will serve me.

My review on Yokohama A-Drives are based on 185/70R14 shod on Swift's steel rims 14 x 5J. This is my close friend's car which I end up driving very often

The tyre grip levels are great on dry surfaces. On wet or sandy surfaces the grip levels fall to moderate. Nothing very bad to complain, but still the decreasing grip levels can be observed on rainy days.

The only negative that we observed on this tyres are the road noise at speeds above 100 kmph. There is a lot of tyre roar above these speeds even on smooth, flat road surfaces. Sometimes this tyre noise gets irritating a bit while cruising long distances.

Tyre wear is normal. The tyres have completed 10k kms as of now.

Predatorwheels, Nikhil, Ishan - I am looking for good grip, less punctures (B250s had only one puncture in 44k kms), and soft ride.

My stock B250s on the Verna have a lot more to go at 44,000 kms, but I am planning to change the tyres to 185/60/14 A Drives

Does A Drive make sense? I am not too keen to oversize my tyres. I am a n00b!
