Fiat Linea GC - R15 to R16?

Fiat linea MJD has relatively low GC. about 160mm which poses frequent problems. What is the best way to increase GC going to R16 from R15?
If yes then what is the appropriate Tyre profile without disturbing FE and handling by much?

I don't think upsizing the rim will help in GC as you will have to select a lower profile tyre to keep the error minimum.

It is not recommended to play around with the Dynamics of a vehicle...I was also very keen on increasing GC of my Fiat Petra (Leh trip was there at the back of my mind) but I dropped the idea after consulting experts on this.

Cheers,
