Can I replace i10's tyres and rim from santro

Hi all,

I dont what I might sound like, but I wish to upgrade my i10's wheels. My old santro sing has hankook on alloy wheels.

1. can i use those alloys and tyres straight away
2. will i10 tyres and rim fit santro xing
3. if not then can i use old alloys on i10 and get new tyres.

i hope i am clear.

the local tyrewalla refused to swap the tyres saying they are entirely different sizes.

Please help me clarify.

Thanks.

You can swap between the two cars. But i10 tyre size is 155/80 R13 which is too big for Santro. Not recommended. And what tyre size do you have on the Santro? If it is the correct size for Santro, it will be too small for i10.

Alloys can be swapped directly. No issues with that.

@ mishraak: Alloys from Santro Xing can be used on i10. Hankook tyres on your Santro Xing would mostly be 165/65R13, these can't be used on i10.
  • You can use stock rims (13x4B) from i10 to mount Hankook tyres and use this combination on Santro Xing. Do this only if your Hankook tyres are not broader than 165/65R13. Any tyre broader than this size would be difficult to mount on stock rims from i10.
  • Buy new tyres for i10 mostly 175/70R13 and mount those on alloy wheels from Santro xing.

Re: Can I replace i10's tyres and rim from santro

Reviving this old thread, since I am in almost similar situation.
Had posted similar query in tyres and alloy wheels section too.
Since I didn't get any information there I am re-posting it here.

We have recently bought an old Santro Xing to be used as a spare car.
It has stock 13"x4j rims with tube type tyres.
Due to age factor and bends both the rims and tyres are due for replacement.

Meanwhile I have a full set of 2013-i10's steel rims in top condition. My i10 came with 13"x4B rims with tubeless tyres.
Hence I am planning to use those rims on santro now.

So the question is, will the i10 rims fit the santro perfectly?
Or
Should I procure new set of 13" rims from Xing/Getz/Accent?

Thanks in advance,
Chandan
