Tyres and alloys for zen!

Hi all,
its time for me to change the tyres on my zen as the MRF ZVTS seems to have lost its grips.....
My zen runs on the 12" rims and I'm also planning to go for alloys. So I wanna know from the zen owners about the handling wid an upsize wheel..
My car runs on stock profile tyres and I'm planning to go for 13" AURA alloys. Now what rubber would you suggest and also is 13" recommended?I know that the torque will reduce....but the ride height should inprove..isnt it?

I think 155/70R13 on 5.0J rims would be ideal.
Get Bridgestone Potenza GIIIs.
Cheers

I think Potenza GIIIs dont come in that size....
It starts with 165/60R13...It would be ideal with a 5j rim

also is it safe upgrading to a 12" wheel? coz i sometimes feel that the wheels might touch the wheel arches when cornering....the 12" wheels seem to be closely spaced!

I have a Zen 2002 model which came with tyres 145/80 R 12 71 S, I went ahead and changed it to Michelin tubeless tyres 155/70 R13 75 H, i also put Aura Alloys. Its the best decision i have ever made, the drive is simply superb with tubeless tyres.

ok, whats the price of the michelins that ur car wears and also how is the torque feel after going for the bigger footwear? My only concern is if the car would loose its superb torque in traffic wid a bigger wheel.

hey fieroid

I have zen with 165/65/13....didn't experience much difference in torque...It still feels the same...N if you are going 2 get an automech exhaust then torque will only improve..

The ride is better with the michelins paid around 2200 for each, i feel they are worth it.
