Pawan many thanks for the pictures, of all the vehicles I like the MG, she is standing up with her wings open to show here beautiful, neat and tidy engine bay. I soo like these neat and tidy engine bays. Way to go, Indian restoration is coming out of age. I also like to fiats and the Ambassador (Adil's Mrak I has turned out very nice).

That looks like Alain de Cadenet ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alain_de_Cadenet ), standing between Giacomo Ago and you, and not Simon Kidston.

Some great cars to look at. Thanks for the pictures Mr Kadam and the ones posted earlier.

Amazing to read the Red Plates and realise there must have been so many smaller princely states that one has just heard of in passing or none at all.

Even while reading history, and the Delhi Durbar, or even earlier, the mention of smaller fiefdoms and princes never really gave me a picture of just how many there must have been. It's only when you see these cars that you realise that there must have been a 'royal' family or chief every 200kms of our vast country. Well almost.

This immaculate 1959 Chevy Parkwood at the show. I am seeing it for the first time! Any details on it? Is it the only such example in India?

This stationwagon and an exquisite convertible 49 Caddy were placed in the Fins class. Strangely, another 49 caddy did not make it to the Fins class, it was correctly positioned in Post war American classic class.

Politics dictated so. Had this Impala and Caddy competed in the Post War American Classic class, they would have won without a doubt.

But that would have upset a lot of people

Coming back to this Impala, a not very common car in India, immaculately restored, it deserved recognition but was ignored

That car even had a old stove and a chai making kettle kept in the back. Amazingly restored masterpiece i must say.

A lot of T Bhpians visited this event, surprised no one has bothered to comprehensively cover it. For whatever it's worth, the Cartier event's politics and pettiness aside, it's a treat to see loads of vintage cars together and a full report would be eye candy.

The audacity of Cartier to openly discriminate amongst invitees seems to hark back to the British Raj where it wasn't uncommon to find, in all their crassness, signs admonishing Indians from entering certain places.

Looks like for fear of being deleted from future invite lists a lot of TBHpians also seem to have chosen to not voice their disgust at such discrimination.

Are enthusiasts in India so compromised that just to be a part of this charade they willingly subject themselves to being openly discriminated against or do I see a quiet resignation amongst fellow enthusiasts that individually they cannot make a difference.

Utterly shameful !
