This version was very much there in early to mid 1980s. My friend owned one. It was called Deluxe BU. The version with front bench seat was called Deluxe BE.

Correct. BE stood for BEnch seats and BU stood for BUcket seats. The seats and transmission were borrowed from the 118NE.

I think in the eighties it was there were 4 versions of the Padmini-Standard,Deluxe(with the bucket seats and seat belts) and the DeluxeBE(with the bench seats and the Economy version with painted bumpers,non chrome and rear windshield beadings etc.
The 118NE transmission was introduced in the padmini only in the nineties
