Wow Anjan, that's quite a treasure trove in the Orange city ! I remember seeing the land rover on a recent trip.
The chevrolet bus is awesome. Quite a rarity, and that too with the original petrol engine !!

Please keep them coming. I love to see more pictures of motorcycles. That Jawa is nice but then to a Jawa enthusiast it is so incomplete. Im guessing it is a late 60s or early 70s bike made locally and not the Czech one unless the owner changed the engine cases.

A 1929 Model A Ford-the car is in the family since 1929 and they have preserved the original purchase receipt for Rs 2990=00
I was expecting to see that cars pic, they must have brought it, by road from Chhindwara? Was Mr. Chawak Senior ( i think spelled it right) was with the car?
I posted pics of car and purchase receipt on the forum elsewhere(http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/209009-post45.html).Those ugly indicators on the car, thanks to RTO, Mr Chawak told me that RTO people insisted him to put the indicators at the time of re-registration and stuff like that..

I will surely post more bike pics and their close ups. You will like to see the BMW bike's speedo and engine.More will follow sure.
agspins Yes Mr Chawak, Senior, now 77 was present with grandchildren and has a bit of difficulty in walking though fit otherwise. The Yamaha RX 100 indicator fitment for passing is news to me -sad to know that.In M.P. they even changed the original number to MP23 something. Maharashtra laws allow retention of older registration numbers provided they are local.

anjan can we also have more pictures of the Chevy bus? Is it privately owned or part of an institution? Very nice to see efforts taken to preserve the bus with engine.

The Chevrolet Bus' dash so original and well kept. Its owned by a transport company operator L.N. Gupta Transport. Some say that this was their first bus ever,so they are quite touchy about it. Its original petrol engine emits a typical sound thats familiar to our ears.We talk of Landmaster and Hindustan 14 engines being swapped for the Ambys but its really great to know that this bus has the same engine since 1940.

Thanks for the bike pics Anjan. The BMW and the Ensign are real beauties. There was a similar BMW in immaculate condition for sale in Delhi but without papers. It had very less miles on it as it was confiscated by the customs and was there for many years. The Ensign's speedo looks the same as the Bantam's or is there any difference?

I am not able to recollect as to how the BSA Bantam's speedo looked like? Logically what you say may be correct as the Ensign's speedo is of Smiths make and both happen to be lighter British bikes of the 1950's.

Just managed to get a pic of the Bantam's speedo, looks similar, not the same though. On the Ensign, the lever left, is that for the decomp? Looks really neat.

Oh the Bantam's speedo is also so cute. Yes, on the Ensign thats the decompressor whose cable goes into the engine head.It looks like twin spark plugs from a distance!

I'm surprised to find this kind of speedo on a '67 Lambretta! I thought they, being API models (post '61), had the Indian Yenkay speedos by then.
