Now proceeding with the scooters- my favourite among the lot, a superbly restored Lambretta 150 d (a.k.a. "open LD) with new Italian parts from abroad, which I'd seen being restored from a skeletal state!

Funny part is one press guy standing close to me who saw this at first commented to someone that it was a Lambretta with 'alteration' done on the front, legshield cut down etc. etc.! And when the other person corrected him, he was quite surprised!

'love the numberplate on this Vespa! Pity they don't come like this anymore!




A rather nice Vespa but with a little bling add-ons- I've seen this unusual legshield badge only on Hyderabad Vespas.

Did not see any Morris-8, Austin-7, Black Talbot, Mayflower, Packard, etc.

First car black Humber Hawk last time I had seen in 2006, there were still 2 more Humber Hawks never seen rallies so far. Where is photographer pics?

Check out the picture I have attached. I have marked them on those three bikes. These kind of brakes were more common in the bigger cc brit bikes and I have seen a few of the single cylinders with them too. It is basically a twin drum setup, two individual ones with independant cables. Note, I have marked the second cable with an arrow in the middle bike.

Thanks for the info. on that, pat! If the brakes have individual cables though, how are the brakes applied with the same front brake lever, as there is only one on the bike?
