1. Hood Insulation - Finally got it.
2. Tyre Rotation, Alignment and Balancing
3. Engine Bay chemical wash - Wruth
4. Interior 3M Germ Clean treatment Apart from the hood insulation (which is not a service), the rest of them were a complete waste of money. Sat for almost 2 hrs from 5.40PM (was confirmed car would be ready by 5.30/6PM, hence went at that time) till 7.50PM at the SVC to get the vehicle.
Lesson learnt. Big time. Since the service cost was covered by the 4 year SVC package, the additional 4K I paid went down the drain |
I used to get my VW Polo serviced from the same ASS in Raidurg. This service center gets more cars and has been around for a long time. These guys always took 2+ hours to get the car ready for delivery on multiple occasions for me. I would go around 3:30 PM, sit there and do my work and in the meantime keep bugging the SA to get the car ready every 20-30 minutes.
I never did wheel alignment, balancing and interiors cleaned from VW service centers for the entire decade of my ownership. VW service centers are neither equipped nor have the expertise to do wheel alignment and balancing correctly. The interiors were cleaned with some cheap cleaner and make all touch points oily and smelly and I had to ask them not to clean anything on inside.
I had also bought 2 years free service package. I felt during those 2 years that the service center would try to push additional unnecessary items on the bill when I had free service package. If the customer agrees, then they get some extra money. If I did not opt for additional items ASS was trying to push on the bill, then I don't have to pay anything as regular maintenance is covered in service package.
