Re: Help me choose between Linea T-jet & Vento Diesel Highline

There were three reaons I bought the T-Jet

1. I didn't want to wait the 3-4 months

2. The steering was much better. Not as good as I'm used to, but better than the Vento

3. I wouldn't be running the car enough to justify a diesel, and the kit list on the T-Jet was longer. The Vento probably had a slight edge in the plastic quality, but once you cross 20 km/h it was academic.

Having bought it, I had quite a few observations - not all of them were complimentary. You can look at my thread here: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...al-review.html

Re: Help me choose between Linea T-jet & Vento Diesel Highline

I had the similar dilemma jsut a week back.
I was browsing the my homepage (tbhp) atleast 4 to 5 times a day!

Head: Vento D (good price for diesel, cheaper in long run comparing the price rise of petrol, torque is mind blowing)

Heart : Tjet (Excellent acceleration, Fully loaded, Interiors are good, yummy 16 " wheels)

Result : Head won. Booked and Blocked someone's cancelled Vento D already in stock. Completing the formalities. Expecting the car soon
This would be my first diesel experience though!

If you dont dont care about the petrol price rise, tjet it is. Else, vento D.

Re: Help me choose between Linea T-jet & Vento Diesel Highline

Hi guys,
Finally, after much waiting my Vento D should be coming by 1st week of May & i'm at peak of my dilemma coz i'm still undecided on the car. As rightly mentioned by Mikon, Head is suggesting Vento & Heart is saying Linea Tjet.

Net net it is boiling down to Fuel efficiency & A.S.S. (cost of spares including). Ignoring resale value for now. Can anyone share their experience on these two aspects?

Thanks

Re: Help me choose between Linea T-jet & Vento Diesel Highline

Gurgaon, 1st/2nd gear traffic and a 3km run between home and work - 8-9km/l
Delhi, average 40km run one-way at normal traffic speed - 12-13 km/l
Sedate highway driving - 16km/l
Normal highway driving - 14km/l
Very fast highway sprint - 11km/l

Frankly, I'm pretty happy with the mileage. My experience of the service hasn't been too bad, but the car is brand new. Actually all T-Jets and Ventos will be brand new, so not much you can learn about the service of either car for about a year or two when service and parts are paid for.

In this case, go with what your head says and you would not regret the decision!

Cheers!
