2017 KTM RC200 & RC390: Brochure Leaked

Brochure of the 2017 KTM RC200 & RC390 has leaked on the Internet. The bikes are to be officially launched in the country later this year. According to the leaked brochure, both bikes get some minor cosmetic tweaks, while the RC390 also receives some mechanical upgrades.

The brochure reveals that the 2017 RC390 will come with a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire and switchable ABS. Moreover, the 300 mm front disc brake found on the current model will be replaced by a larger 320 mm unit. The bike also loses its underbelly exhaust setup, in favour of a side-mounted up-swept canister. Powering the RC390 will be the same 373 cc engine that is found on the current model. It is rated at 43 BHP and 36 Nm. There is a slight bump in the torque figures, which is likely a result of the new exhaust setup. The bike will continue to be offered with a Bosch-sourced ABS. The 2017 RC 390 also gets some new body decals for the fairing and fuel tank.

Meanwhile, the 2017 RC200 will continue to be offered with the same mechanical setup, including the underbelly exhaust. It will be powered by a 199 cc single-cylinder engine that develops 25 BHP and 19.2 Nm of torque. Braking duties will be handled by a 300 mm disc at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear. There is no news of ABS making its way to the updated RC200 but the bike will come with a new livery.
