2022 Maruti XL6 hybrid system vs old model: 2x capacity, same assist

Maruti did confirm that the battery on the new XL6 has 2x the capacity than on the old model.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 is said to come with an upgraded Smart Hybrid system. This includes a larger capacity secondary battery system providing longer assist during acceleration. Any details on this?

Was curious about this, and found out the following facts:

The secondary battery looks visibly larger than before:

Prices of both batteries remain the same at Rs. 59,935

Power and Torque output of MGU in new Ertiga/XL6 have been increased, while the max current decreases(210A vs 180A):

I was waiting for this info from you and was going to post that only LeoShashi can tell us detailed differences between the 2 battery systems.

Maruti did confirm that the new battery was 2X the capacity of the existing one but the amount of assist was similar. What is different is that the assist is there for a longer duration. So now the battery doesn't drain out easily and then you don't get assist till it charges up again.
