Amazon to use TVS electric scooters for deliveries in India

Amazon India plans to add 10,000 EVs to its delivery fleet by 2025.

Amazon India and TVS Motor Company have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deploy electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers for last-mile delivery.

Amazon India plans to add 10,000 EVs to its delivery fleet by 2025. The retail giant aims to have a fleet of 1,00,000 EVs globally by 2030. According to the company, the partnership with TVS is a positive step towards achieving its net-zero carbon goals 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement.

The collaboration is in line with TVS’ plans to launch electric vehicles across commuter, premium and last-mile delivery segments. The bikemaker will introduce a range of electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers over a period of 8 quarters in the domestic and international markets.
