Aston Martin DB12 globally unveiled

Aston Martin claims that the DB12 is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h.

Aston Martin has taken the wraps off its DB11 successor, the DB12. The all-new 'super-tourer' as Aston Martin likes to call it, is said to be the best DB model produced by the British marque to date.

The new Aston Martin DB12 is a clear evolution from its predecessor, albeit with multiple revisions and updates. The DB12 features a new set of headlights, flanking a larger version of Aston Martin's signature grille. The car looks beefier than the DB11 but maintains a familiar silhouette. It comes with larger wheels and a wider track - 6 mm at the front and 22 mm at the rear.

Inside, the Aston Martin DB12 features a completely refreshed design. The car gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, developed in-house. It comes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, connectivity features with OTA and other subscription functions. Other highlights inside include an 11-speaker sound system and the presence of physical touch buttons on the centre console.

Powering the all-new DB12 is an AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 671 BHP and 800 Nm; a 34% increase in power compared to the DB11. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Aston Martin claims that the DB12 is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h.

Prices for the new Aston Martin DB12 is yet to be announced. It will go on sale in international markets in the coming months.
