BSIV compliant TVS Jupiter launched, gets 2 new colours

TVS has launched the updated Jupiter gearless scooter in India, which now comes with a BSIV compliant engine, Auto-Headlamp On (AHO) and Sync Braking System (SBS) as standard. The updated model also gets 2 new colours: Jade Green and Mystic Gold. Prices of the new Jupiter haven't been changed as it still starts from Rs. 49,666 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Apart from being BSIV compliant, no other changes have been made to the powertrain of the Jupiter, which gets a 109.7 cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 8 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 8 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm. It also comes with TVS patented Econometer, which basically provides two riding modes: Eco and Power.

While the Jupiter previously featured the Sync Braking System (SBS) only on the top-end ZX model, it has now been made standard across the range. SBS basically divides the braking power to both front and rear brakes, even if only the rear brake lever is pressed, thus aiding rider safety.
