Checked out Thar Roxx AX7L 4x4; A few positive & negative observations

A perfect car for those Zanskar, Spiti, Tawang, North Sikkim, Rann Of Kutch, Jaisalmer kinda adventure trips

BHPian Kashi053 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Spent some time with Roxx at Silkboard Siresh Auto showroom today.

My observations on the Roxx AX7L AT 4*4

+ Roxx have that character which every enthusiast aspire for.

+ Premium interior and plenty of soft touch materials.

+ Rear seats can seat 3 and have good head room, knee room with recline option.

+ Nicely shaped boot. If you plan properly, it can accommodate plenty of luggages.

+ Pano sunroof is huge. Big plus to get family approval to get Roxx instead of CUVs
+ 19" wheel look good but it will be expensive to replace. Demo vehicle came with MRF wanderer AT.

- Front door can hold only 500ML bottle holder! Please don't ask what about rear door.

Front door pocket : This is 750ml, but not easy fit.

Front door pocket : 1L is a No-No

Rear door pocket : Good for nothing

- Already beaten to death but white upholstery is already pretty dirty in the demo car.
- Front/Rear seat under-thigh support is little lacking. Especially when you compare back to back with ScorpioN/XUV700.
- Front driver side footwell feel cramped. I observed this in Thar 3D as well.
- No telescopic adjustment on steering.
- Pano roof cover is thin. This may cause problematic during sunny/hot days.

Some more observations.

19" wheel look really good when viewed from rear.

Close look at rear view cam

The wiper reservoir is placed far away. Inconvenience to re-fill.

Overall initial impression is good. A perfect car for those Zanskar, Spiti, Tawang, North Sikkim, Rann Of Kutch, Jaisalmer kinda adventure trips. Is this a good family car, only proper TD can tell.
