Flipkart partners with Uber for delivery of essentials

Flipkart and Uber have teamed-up for last-mile delivery of essential goods in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Uber is also working with Spencer's Retail and BigBasket to delivery essential goods to customers during the lockdown caused due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The company is in talks with other retailers and is exploring opportunities to expand to other cities.

According to a media report, the company will not charge any commission for these services and all the earnings will be passed on to the driver partners. Uber has also undertaken health and safety training sessions for its drivers. The drivers will also be provided with mask, gloves and sanitizers.
