Geely Smart #3 spotted testing in India

The Smart #3 electric crossover comes in single and dual-motor versions, with a range of up to 455 km.

Smart Automobile, which is jointly owned by Mercedes-Benz and Geely, showcased the Smart #3 at Auto Shanghai in 2023. A year later, the electric crossover made its debut in the European market. Now, the EV has been spotted testing on Indian roads.

The Smart #3 was recently spotted on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. However, before you get too excited, let me just clarify that it is mostly being used for component testing purposes.

As you can see, the test vehicle has a Valeo sticker at the back. It’s an automotive supplier based in France. It seems the company is using the Smart #3 to test some of its products in Indian conditions.

Coming back to the Smart #3, the car uses a single electric motor that delivers 268 BHP and has a range of 455 km (WLTP cycle). Smart also offers a dual-motor version called the Smart #3 Brabus, which has 422 BHP and a range of 435 km.
