Genesis GV80 SUV leaked

Images showing the upcoming Genesis GV80 SUV have surfaced online.

The GV80 gets a large G-Matrix grille flanked by slim head lights. It also gets a sculpted bonnet, wraparound tail lamps, roof rails and a chrome trim running along the bottom part of the doors. The SUV gets a dual-tone interior equipped with quilted leather, a 2-spoke steering wheel, touchscreen head unit, a digital instrument cluster, massaging seats and a rotary dial for transmission controls. Some variants could get a single-tone interior with an analogue instrument cluster.

The Genesis GV80 could be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a naturally aspirated V6 and a 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 engine. A plug-in hybrid could also be offered at a later stage. Rear-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive variants could be offered.

The SUV is likely to be launched in 2020 and could compete against the Audi Q7, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Volvo XC90. Prices could start around US$ 50,000.
