Honda Elevate fuel efficiency figures announced

The Honda Elevate will be available with a 1.5L petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT.

Honda is gearing up to foray into the mid-size SUV segment with the new 'Elevate'. The carmaker had earlier revealed the powertrain options and has now shared more details pertaining to fuel economy.

The Honda Elevate will be available with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 119 BHP @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm @ 4,300 rpm. It will be mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT. According to the company, the manual version returns 15.31 km/l, while the CVT is said to deliver 16.92 km/l.

While pre-bookings are already open, the Elevate is expected to be launched in the month of September. The SUV could come in four trims, but there will be no hybrid version on offer. Reports suggest that the top-spec ZX trim will get the Honda Sensing ADAS suite.

The Elevate will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the like.
