Hyderabad to host 5th Cartier Concours d'Elegance in` Feb '17

The fifth edition of the Cartier Concours d'Elegance has been scheduled for February 2017. After switching its venue between Delhi and Mumbai for the first four editions, the fifth edition of the event will be held at the Falaknuma Palace grounds in Hyderabad.

The Cartier 'Travel with Style' Concours d'Elegance is now a FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens) World Motoring Heritage Year programme (WMHY) and has got patronage from UNESCO. It also ranks among the top eight classic car events in the world, and is listed as a Type 1 event.

Those interested in participating in the 5th Cartier Concours can send their entries to ctws2017@gmail.com, before September 30, 2016. Details required from prospective entrants include model details, chassis number and specific history of their vehicle, along with recent photographs of the car or bike.

In order to maintain the quality of the event, only cars and motorcycles with Indian histories, or recent imports that have been restored in India, along with documented proof, will be eligible for entry in the event. Moreover, since the 2017 Cartier Concours will be held in South India for the first time, organizers have decided to give preference to the entries from the nearby regions.
All entries will be divided into the following classes, depending on their manufacturing year:

Automobiles
Pre-War Classics – up to and including 1945
Post-War Classics – From 1946 up to and including 1965
Indian Heritage – Indian made or assembled from 1947 up to and including 1965
Preservation – up to and including 1965
Roadsters – from 1946 up to and including 1965

Motorcycles
Veteran - Vintage - up to and including 1930
Pre-War - from 1931 up to and including 1945
Post-War - from 1946 up to and including 1969

Additionally, the best preserved car in the event will be awarded the FIVA Preservation Award.
