Jimny jumps while off-roading: Happy the stock setup is abuse-friendly

Before anyone asks, the 4x4 has been thoroughly checked and there was not a single squeak after the whole event.

BHPian quickdraw recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Had quite a blast and the difference between me and Shantanu was only 3 points, am excited to be going to the finals in Goa as there will be Maruti-supplied stock cars for all that should level the competition.

Before anyone asks the car has been thoroughly checked and there was not a single squeak after the whole event. I am so happy that a Stock Jimny is very abuse-friendly and much more capable than people think

Hey, so I've driven the car quite a bit, and the best way to describe the handling is 'sporty'. The car is much flatter in cornering and the body yaw/roll is controlled considerably with hard cornering. All of these things make it great on the tarmac but there is definitely a sacrifice over undulations which exceed the available compression/suspension travel and do make the ride stiffer.

  • Bumpy - Fine
  • Gravel - No problem
  • Really Broken roads - It gets bumpy inside
  • Speed breakers - Non-issue
