Mahindra BE 6e spotted testing in South Korea

The Mahindra BE 6e is based on the INGLO platform and is available with two battery options

Mahindra recently launched two brand new electric SUVs in the Indian market, the BE 6e and XEV 9e. The Mahindra BE 6e in India is offered at a starting price of Rs 18.90 lakh, while the larger XEV 9e is priced at Rs 21.90 lakh.

However, on the same day as its India launch, a camouflaged prototype of the Mahindra BE 6e was spotted in South Korea. Mahindra has announced that its next-gen EVs will be sold overseas; with the latest spy shots indicating that South Korea could be a potential market for the Mahindra EV.

South Korea though would be a new market for Mahindra, although it does have a connection with the country thanks to Ssangyong Motor Company which Mahindra had acquired back in 2011. The Indian carmaker currently sells its cars in international markets such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, UAE, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and a few European and South Central American countries.

The Mahindra BE 6e is based on the INGLO platform and is available with two battery options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The former comes paired with a 225 BHP and 380 Nm electric motor, while the larger battery is offered with a 277 BHP and 380 Nm e-motor. The BE 6e has a maximum certified range of 682 km.
