Mahindra Thar to get a price hike from December 1, 2020

Introductory pricing on the Thar is set to end on December 1.

Mahindra is set to increase the prices of the new Thar from December 1, 2020. The revised prices are expected to be announced tomorrow.

New prices will be applicable on fresh bookings. Those who have booked their cars prior to December 1 can avail of the introductory prices.

The second-generation Thar was launched on October 2, at an introductory price of Rs. 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The offroader was available in two trim levels – AX and LX.

Earlier this month, the car maker silently removed the entry-level AX and AX Std variants of the Thar from the website. Now, it is available only in the AX (Optional) and LX variants.

Mahindra has received over 20,000 bookings for the Thar and the waiting period has crossed 6 months. To cater to the high demand, Mahindra has decided to ramp up the production to 3,000 units per month from January 2021.
