Maruti Suzuki deletes rear defogger feature from the WagonR

The rear defogger feature has been deleted from all variants, including the top-spec ZXI+ trim.

Maruti Suzuki recently deleted several features from the Brezza, including the fuel-saving mild-hybrid tech from the manual variants. It seems the carmaker has adopted a similar strategy for other models too, at a time when car prices are increasing with every passing month.

According to a media report, Maruti has made some changes to the feature list of the WagonR. The rear defogger feature has been deleted from all variants, including the top-spec ZXI+ trim. In fact, the updated brochure doesn't even list the feature anymore.

A defogger is a handy feature, especially during rainy and winter seasons when the windows are prone to fogging up due to condensation. The defogger uses coils that heat up to clear the windscreen.

Apart from this, Maruti hasn't made any mechanical changes to the car. The WagonR is available with two petrol engines: a 998cc, 3-cylinder producing 66 BHP and 82 Nm and a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder unit that puts out 89 BHP and 113 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The car also gets a factory-fitted CNG option.
