Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol spotted with smart hybrid badge

Spy images of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza have surfaced online. The images show the rear profile of the sub-4 m SUV with a 'Smart Hybrid' badge.

The images suggest that the refreshed Brezza is likely to get revised tail lights and a reworked rear bumper. The smart hybrid badge reveals that some of the variants could be equipped with the company's mild hybrid system.

As the production of the Fiat-sourced 1.3L diesel engine has stopped, the car could come with the 1.5L petrol unit that does duty in the Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6. This engine is offered with a mild hybrid system and is paired with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Last month, images of the front of the Vitara Brezza had been leaked. The car gets a new chrome grille and updated twin-pod headlamps. The SUV also gets a dual-tone front bumper with a silver insert and a black skid plate.
