Mitsubishi Pajero rumoured to be revived in 2027

Could come in the form of a luxury crossover with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

According to media reports, Mitsubishi Motors is rumoured to revive the Pajero as a luxury crossover sometime in 2027.

The 2027 Mitsubishi Pajero could be offered as an upmarket Outlander and get a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Reports also mentioned that the upcoming Pajero will come with a host of luxury features and serious off-roading capabilities as well.

The Pajero nameplate was offered across five different models during its production. This includes the Pajero full-size SUV, the mid-size Pajero Sport, the small-size Pajero iO featuring Pininfarina styling, the mini-size Pajero Junior and the even smaller Pajero Mini, which was a Kei car. The Pajero Sport though is the only model still in production today.

No other details have been revealed yet. Reports also indicate that if the Pajero does indeed make a comeback, it could be underpinned by the CMF-C/D platform from the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
