More images: Mahindra XUV500 facelift

The Mahindra XUV500 facelift was last spotted in November 2017. Previous spy images had indicated that it might get a new front fascia as part of the facelift. Now, another test mule has been spotted with a new set of headlights.

The latest spy images suggest that the XUV500 facelift might get new twin-barrel headlights with integrated LED DRLs. The front grille and bumper might also be tweaked to give it a fresh look. The heavy camouflage around the tail gate indicates that it might be revised slightly as well. The roof spoiler looks to be pronounced than the one on the current XUV500. Also, Mahindra is likely to offer new alloy wheels in a black finish as part of the upcoming refresh.

The interior of the XUV500 could receive minor modifications too. While the basic layout of the dashboard will likely be retained, it might come with an updated touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Some media reports suggest that the updated XUV500 is likely to get a re-tuned 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. It is believed that the new engine produces 168 BHP of peak power and churns out 350 Nm of torque.

Mahindra is yet to confirm the specifications of the engine that will power the XUV500 facelift. The XUV500 is likely to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo.
