More images: Next-gen Mahindra Thar interior

New images of the interior of the next generation Mahindra Thar have surfaced online. The latest spy images reveal the car's dashboard, seats and centre console.

According to the spy images, the new Thar is likely to get a black dashboard with circular air-conditioning vents. The centre console appears to have provision to mount an infotainment system. There is a grab handle on the passenger side. Silver trim can be seen around the gear selector levers, while the power window switches are placed between the front seats.

The front seats have side bolsters, adjustable headrests and are covered in black fabric upholstery. The SUV has a 3-spoke, multi-function steering wheel and twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID in the centre.

The next generation Thar is expected to be based on the Gen3 chassis that underpins the Scorpio and TUV300. It could be offered with a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive.
