Revolt RV 400 e-bike unveiled. Bookings open on June 25, 2019

Revolt Motors has unveiled its first electric bike called the RV 400. Pre-bookings open on June 25, 2019. Customers will be able to place their orders on Amazon or on the company's website by paying a booking amount of Rs. 1,000. The first bikes are expected to be delivered in July 2019. 

Initially, the RV 400 will only be available in Delhi. In the next 4 months, the company is expected to introduce the bike in NCR, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai.

The RV 400 comes in two colour options - Rebel Red and Cosmic Black. It features a hexagonal headlamp cluster with integrated LED daytime running lights and a digital instrument cluster with 4G connectivity. The bike comes with upside down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It has alloy wheels and disc brakes at both ends.

While details about the electric motor have not been provided, the bike has an ARAI certified range of 156 km on single charge. The company claims that the battery can be recharged to its full capacity in 4 hours using a 15 ampere supply. Besides, it has a removable battery pack which can be swapped for a fresh battery at a swapping station.

The RV 400 claims to be India's first AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled bike. It comes with features such as Bike locator, door-step battery delivery, mobile swap stations, geo-fencing and anti-theft. It comes with a mobile app that provides vital information like available range, total riding hours and real-time diagnostics. Users can also toggle between various artificial engine sounds using the app.
